The finals that followed were highly entertaining and engrossing games.  In the singles Davy Scott overecame Jamie Mitchell in an enthralling contest with the lead changing hands several times, but in the end it was Davy Scott, of the local Niddrie club, who came through 21-17.  The pairs had two team from Eskmills, John Lockhart & Kenny Marr against Willie Hogg & Davy Malone. This game looked to be going to the first pair as they moved into a commanding lead at one stage, only for the second pairing to draw level at the last end, forcing the game into an extra end. In the extra end it was the pairing of Lockhart & Marr who took the title with a pair at the extra end to win 20-18.  The Willis triples had brought together Willowbrae ( J.Cunningham,W.Millar & I.Pryde) & ( Musselburgh ( B.McFaul, J.Ralton & B.Fleming), the Willowbrae triple ran out easy winners 21-5 to take the Trophy.  Niddrie ( S.Currie, D.Currie, M.Telfer & M.Henderson ) met Eskmills ( R.Rae, A.Turnbull, R,McKellar & D.Ralton ) in the Local rinks final, this too turned out to be a one-sided contest with Eskmills running away to a 23-8 win to lift the Trophy.  Photos from the day are on this page below and on Locals Photos page 2                                                                                                             Local Finals Results  On Saturday the Locals finals were played at Niddrie Bowling Club on a blustery, sunny day.
